At the Galerie Hamid Khellafi, Dalila Dalleas Bouzar presents four large canvases and several smaller works. The large pieces depict naked or draped women holding machetes or daggers. The smaller works are self-portraits in which the artist portrays herself as a lover, a melancholic figure or a warrior. The exhibition reveals her intense and mythical depiction of the female form within the gallery’s intimate setting.
