Le.s Sensible.s, podcast “Ouvrir les perspectives et les imaginaires comme force d’agir des artistes” with Dalila Dalléas Bouzar

Podcast by Le.s Sensible.s, 31 August 2026

“In this episode, we explored Dalila’s vast and powerful world.

Her works, whether paintings, drawings, embroidery or performances, are, in my view, intense and complex, in the fullest sense of those terms.

Intense because of the power they exude, the references, the symbols, the bodies, the violence at times, the raw emotions;

Complex in the way she interweaves different planes – foregrounds and backgrounds, the empty and the full within the motif – her ability to combine the academic excellence of her technique with the fragility of her brushwork and the living force of performance, her way of linking politics and science fiction, human dramas and cosmic optimism, and in exposing, wounding or ‘empowering’ bodies…

This inspired me to begin our conversation by suggesting several major themes that run through her work, which we explored together in a non-linear manner: Algeria, Painting, Self-Portraiture, the Body, Women, Entities, Ritual and the Spiritual.

Available on all podcast platforms (Spotify, Deezer, Apple Podcasts, etc.)”
