To mark the exhibition Le Sommeil des Dieux by Mehdi Djelil, the media outlet Liik interviews Hamid Khellafi to present his gallery, his objectives and Algerian contemporary art.
“‘We’ve seen auction results of several hundred thousand euros for Algerian artists such as Kader Attia and Adel Abdessemed!’
In his gallery in Paris’s 6th arrondissement, Hamid Khellafi has made it his mission to showcase and represent the extraordinary creativity of the Algerian art scene.
Through short-term exhibitions, visitors can discover the work of 20 Algerian and Franco-Algerian artists from various generations, ranging from photography to painting, design to sculpture, and video to drawing.”
